John Herman “Hank” Majors, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 5, 2026, at the age of 74.

Hank was born on October 2, 1951, in Savannah, Tennessee, to Dock Arthur “D.A.” Majors and Nell Adams Majors. In 1955, his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he would spend the remainder of his life.

Hank graduated from John Overton High School in 1970 and went on to attend Aquinas College in Nashville. He later graduated from the University of Tennessee.

He was a devoted father to his four children, Amy Majors Lindelof, Casey Majors, Sarah Majors, and Colin Majors, and a proud grandfather to Erik Lindelof, Lucas Head, Cate Lindelof, Isaac Majors, and Jack Wood. His family was one of the greatest sources of joy in his life, and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Hank had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making those around him laugh. He loved his family and particularly enjoyed treating himself to meals all over town. Whether sharing a meal, telling a story, or simply enjoying time together, Hank had a way of making memories with the people he loved.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Dock Arthur “D.A.” Majors and Nell Adams Majors, and his siblings, David Majors, Larry Majors, Rebecca Majors Bowling, and Debbie Majors Brim.

He is survived by his sister, Nelda Majors Parker; his four children; his five grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Hank was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2018. His family remained by his side throughout his journey, surrounding him with love and care.

He will be remembered for his humor, his love for his family, and the many memories he created throughout his life.
