    Creola Mae Kyles

    May 9, 1951 - March 11, 2022

    Creola Mae Kyles was called to her Heavenly home on March 11, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Mobile, AL on May 9, 1951 and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Theodore, Alabama. Creola was employed with Vanity Fair for over 20 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar D. Kyles; one granddaughter, Deszeray Summers-Kyles; 2 sisters, Eliza Bell Sanders and Brenda Lee Martin. Survived by son, Derick LeJuan Summers of Spring Valley, IL; daughter, Cherita (Eric) Walker of Nashville, TN; 4 brothers, Samuel L. Martin (Miranda) of Fayetteville, NC, George W. Martin, Emmet M. Martin (Darlene), and Calvin Martin (Angela Gaines) all of Mobile, AL; 5 sisters, Coralene Hollis-Carter of Mobile, Alabama, Catherine Martin-Isom of Buford, Georgia; Peggy Smith (Lee Ernest) of Theodore, AL Gloria Jean Clemons-White of Sacramento, CA; and Nancy Kyles-Blackmon of Theodore, AL; 7 grandchildren, Daisia Broklyn Harris, LaSavior Savarah Summers, Cleo Charles Clemons III, and Chabyas C. Clemons, Xavier Kyles, Monti Lorenzi, and Mya Lorenzi; god-son, Victor Casher; friends, Gloria Casher, Carolyn Dickenson, Gail Files Wright, and Regina Fralin, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Creola will truly be missed but her love and affection will be in the memory of all that came to know and love her. Public viewing will be held from 2-5 pm on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, 201 N. Hamilton St., Mobile, AL 36603. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, 5425 Washington Blvd., Theodore, AL 36582 with a Visitation one hour prior. Interment Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36619.
